We ask one question
of every order.
Is this good enough to ship?
The honest answer is sometimes no. When it is, the product doesn't leave the lab — regardless of cost, regardless of timeline. The standard is the standard.
The promise
Research-grade isn't a marketing word here.
The peptide market is full of vials with confident labels and vague provenance. We built Ascénd because that wasn't a category we wanted to participate in.
Every peptide on this site comes from a synthesis facility operating under cGMP-aligned protocols and is independently tested by a third-party ISO 17025 lab — not a template, not a category average.
If a batch doesn't meet our spec, we destroy it. The economic incentive to ship borderline product is real. We pay that cost so you don't have to absorb the variance into your work.
Spec sheet
The pipeline
Seven gates between synthesis and your bench.
Each gate has a documented spec and a pass/fail outcome. Borderline results come back through the pipeline a second time. Failures are destroyed and logged.
Synthesis
USP-grade precursors. Isolated synthesis runs to prevent cross-batch carryover.
HPLC purity
Reverse-phase HPLC quantifies purity by area-percent. Reject floor: 99.0%.
Mass spec
ESI-MS confirms molecular weight matches reference standard to within ±0.5 Da.
Endotoxin
LAL gel-clot screen. Spec: <0.25 EU/mg. Anything else fails.
Sterility
USP <71> direct inoculation. 14-day incubation window before release.
Sealed packaging
Each vial is sealed in tamper-evident packaging before release.
Release
Final results are reviewed against every gate above. Passes move to packaging; failures are destroyed and logged.
From our lab
“The fastest way to lose a research customer is to ship something substandard. The fastest way to keep one is to be willing to destroy good inventory when the data says so.”

Independent verification
Our third-party lab partner.
We don't test our own product. Every result carries the name and accreditation of the independent ISO 17025 lab that ran the analysis. Read more about how we vetted them and what their accreditation actually covers.
